GIRLS TEAM ACADEMY (LINDON)

SOUTH ACADEMY

Team Academy is our introductory club team program for beginner to intermediate players, ages 8-15. There are no tryouts for Team Academy -- players will be evaluated during the first 2 weeks of practices in January and then placed on teams according to age and skill level. Teams will compete in 3 local tournaments sponsored by Club V and/or AAU. 

Team Academy will focus on individual skill improvement, team development, and introduce players to the personal habits required to play competitive volleyball in a fun and positive environment. A pre-season parent information meeting will be held Dec. 3rd 6:30p-7:30p.

In Academy boys and girls gain a solid foundation of technical skills while advancing through various levels of skill development; starting with VolleyKidzz (ages 6-8) and Level 1 (ages 9-15) for our introductory players, and advancing to Level 3 for those players who have mastered various skills.

2 SKILLS TUESDAY

SOUTH ACADEMY

Aug. 15th Training will focus on 1hr of Setting (4 & 2 Ct Tempo Forward & Back Setting) and 1hr of Hitting (2 Step, 3 Step & 4 Step with Front Row Hitting).
Aug. 22nd Training will focus on 1hr of Serve Receive (Angle to Zone 3 in 3-person Serve Receive Line-Up) and 1hr of Off. & Defense (Blocking & Block Transition to hit & Digging to Hit).

CLUB V BOYS SKILLS CLINIC

SOUTH ACADEMY

Aug. Boys All Skills clinic will focus on skill development, footwork, and court movement patterns and mechanics of volleyball. These clinics are designed for both beginners and intermediate players to give the best training experience to all athletes. These clinics will focus on getting players ready for the upcoming Boys Fall Club Team season.

BOYS TEAM ACADEMY

South Academy

The Boys Lindon Team Academy program provides training and team competition for boys and runs August 28th - Nov. 20th. There are no tryouts for Team Academy -- players will be evaluated during the first 2 weeks of practices and then placed on teams according to age and skill level. Teams will compete in 3 local tournaments and participate in at least 2 "Friday Night Light" Practices with additional Skills Training Opportunities. Team Academy will focus on individual skill improvement, team development, and introduce players to the personal habits required to play competitive volleyball in a fun and positive environment.

GIRLS YOUTH FALL LEAGUE & GIRLS JR HIGH FALL LEAGUE

SOUTH ACADEMY

Beginner: 0 - 1 year experience (Needs to be taught the technical skills of Overhand Serving, Passing, Setting, Hitting and Blocking and using a pass set hit system)

Intermediate: 2 - 3 years experience (Knows all skill techniques, but needs to build mastery & consistency Overhand Serving, Passing, Setting, Hitting, Blocking. Is playing 3 Touch Volleyball. Is developing Tactical Offensive & Defensive Skills & 60% Mastery of them.) 

Advanced: 4+ years experience (Knows how to communicate well with coach and team and consistently and aggressively execute all technical skills. Is consistent in running an offensive and defensive system and knows the variety of offensive & defensive strategies .)

GIRLS 14 & YOUNGER TRAIN - FOR - TRYOUTS

SOUTH VOLLEYBALL

Train-For-Tryouts is a 2-day training series held in September . Train-for-Tryouts will help familiarize young athletes with the Club tryout process and prepare athletes for official tryouts on September. Each day will feature a V South Director as lead coach and directors will guide athletes through the drills designed to showcase their overall athletic ability and volleyball skills. Attention and feedback will be given to the athlete's court demeanor, hustle, communication and work ethic. At the conclusion of each day, a brief Q & A with players about Club V South Tryouts and Club Season policies and procedures. Athletes can attend 1 or both days.
